Though this practice does not have a policy of bulk billing, occasionally doctors may either charge a rebate or bulk bill patients. This may occur if multiple item numbers are carried out at the same time, if multiple patients are seen or if you have been seen on multiple occasions recently. However bulk billing is becoming less tenable and has now reached the point where bulk billing a patient results in the doctor receiving less than 50% of the normal fee for a service.
