Profile
Phil trained at the University of NSW and then worked in Gosford Hospital before commencing General Practice at Bateau Bay in 1983. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and greatly enjoys the relationships with patients and their families which long term general practice in one area provides. Phil has always had an interest in procedural medicine and after completing some preliminary certificates gained his Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine in 2010. Since 2012 half of his practice time is spent in skin cancer work.
Phil has an interest in administration and besides being the previous principal of this practice was chair of the local division of General Practice for over a decade and was on the Central Coast Area Health Board from 2010 to 2019. In 2015 he was honoured to receive an Order of Australia Medal for services to Medicine and Community Health.
Phil is a member of EV church at Erina which he helped to begin 20 years ago. Phil is married to Wendy. He has two grown sons married to wonderful daughter-in-law’s and 7 granddaughters, he enjoys time spent with all of them. His other passion is coffee which he roasts, blends and drinks!
