Jo qualified as a doctor in the UK in 2006 and soon came to work in Australia. After some years working in paediatrics at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Jo changed career paths and qualified as a GP with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016. Jo worked in the Southern Highlands before settling on the Central Coast in 2013. Jo still has a strong interest in children’s health but also enjoys women’s health, preventative medicine and the variety that general practice has to offer.

Jo holds a Diploma of Paediatrics and a Certificate of Sexual Health and Family Planning. More recently, Jo has studied for a Masters of Public Health through the University of Sydney and is very keen on addressing some of the barriers and inequities that some face in accessing health care. Jo also delivers training about Domestic and Family Violence to other GPs in the local area, working with the PHN.

Three very active children keep Jo busy when not at work, but Jo is also involved in a local Cub Scout group and the Central Coast’s Montessori school. Jo loves the Central Coast and the active, outdoors lifestyle it offers, as well as its proximity to the iconic city of Sydney.
