Dawn graduated from the University of Sydney (1998) and was a junior doctor at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals before pursuing rural General Practice training in the Northern Rivers of NSW. She completed specialist GP training in 2003 and joined the team here at Bateau Bay Medical Centre in 2004. Since then she was for many years an Examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dawn enjoys all aspects of general practice, especially caring for families, preventative health and managing chronic disease.

With a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, she has a particular interest in women’s health throughout all ages, including contraceptive and fertility advice, antenatal and postnatal care. She is qualified in the placement and removal of intrauterine devices and Implanon.

Together with her husband Tim, Dawn has been actively involved in the Central Coast community at EV Church for over 20 years. She also enjoys yum-cha, reading well-written novels, being physically active, and beach camping holidays with Tim and their three young daughters- who keep them feeling very busy but also very blessed.
